A good storage cover is essential to protect your Yamaha Jet Boat while it is stored.
Watercraft Superstore is pleased to offer a custom cover sewn right here at WCSS headquarters. These covers are made with a 600D solution dyed polyester. That means it breathes to help cut down on mildew but still keeps the elements out.

This cover includes a ratchet strap to tighten the cover under the rub rail as well as reinforced cutouts at the cleat locations. This allows you to cover the boat and still tie it to the dock. We also sell an optional cover support system to help prevent water from pooling on the cover when the boat sits outside.

Installation

Your new Watercraft Superstore cover is designed to give years of protection to your PWC. To install the cover, it is best to start at the handle bars and mirrors (if equipped) then pull the cover forward over the bow and rearward over the stern of the craft.

The shock cord installed at the hem of the cover should be pulled down under the rub rail of the PWC. Most covers will hold in place with just the use of the sock cord for stationary storage.

If the craft is going to be towed ro is stored in an area that gets high winds, we suggest using the provided tie down straps to wrap under the PWC to secure the cover.
The watercraft should always be clean before installing any cover to prevent damage to the finish.

Warranty

Watercraft Superstore covers have a 1 year manufacturer's warranty against defect in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover fading, tearing or stains which are likely during normal use. Environments with extreme weather conditions might have an adverse effect on the longevity of the material which will not be covered under warranty.

Maintenance

Cleaning and Maintenance of the cover should be done periodically to help extend the life of the cover.

To clean the cover, we suggest a mild liquid soap similar to soap used to wash the PWC. For bird droppings or other hard to clean spots, it may be necessary to use a scrub brush.

You can rinse the cover with a standard garden hose. We do not suggest using a pressure washer since the pressure could be high enough to damage the material.

If the cover is used outdoors, we suggest re-treating the cover with a water repellant treatment such as 303 High Tech Fabric Guard (available at Watercraft Superstore or other marine supply stores) at least once a year to help with water repellency as well as UV protection.

Light Amplification
1. The sun can reflect off gel-coat surfaces to damage BlackTip Jetsports products.

For certain applications and under certain conditions, BlackTip Jetsports decking applied in the cockpit and other areas with vertical surfaces and/or reflecting off hardware, stainless, etc., can expose the mat to temperatures above the operational temperature of 165°F (73°C).

2. Lighter colors can reduce the Light Amplification problem.
However, it will not be covered under our standard warranty if Light Amplification occurs.
Other material problems will still be covered.

3. After installation, the preferred method of storage is that the boat (or any other surfaces of application) be covered.

BlackTip Jetsports mats are very durable, but they will last longer, and the colors will fade more slowly if they are not exposed to the elements when not in use.
Examples include keeping the boat in a garage, covered with a canvas boat cover, in a covered boat slip, etc.

Situations to Avoid:
* Inflatable pool toys or water bottles stored long-term on BlackTip Jetsports
* Placing BlackTip Jetsports decking near reflective surfaces or beneath glass such as windshields or other structures
These objects can refract/reflect light, thereby concentrating the beams to a level which can be destructive to BlackTip Jetsports mats.

Cleaning

Use only mild dishwashing soap to clean your mats, if you must clean grease from the mats, we suggest using Simple Green brand cleaner only to do so.
