About SBT & Contact

Can I request a phone call from an SBT representative?

Yes. SBT's customer and tech support team can be reached by phone at 727-443-0373, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern time.

Calling during those hours is the fastest way to speak directly with someone who can help with product selection, technical questions, order status, or anything else PWC-related.

If calling isn't convenient, questions can also be submitted through the contact form or chat on sbt.com. For parts lookups and general tech guidance, SBT's online resources and catalog are available any time.

What is the phone number to call SBT from outside the US?

SBT's phone number is 727-443-0373 (Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm Eastern Time). Callers outside the US should dial it as +1 727-443-0373. If a call is inconvenient, email sales@sbt.com instead.

SBT is based in Clearwater, Florida (Eastern Time zone). When dialing internationally, prefix the number with the US country code: +1 727-443-0373. Plan around the time difference so the call lands between 8 am and 5 pm ET on a weekday.

If the time difference makes a phone call impractical, email sales@sbt.com. The team monitors that address and can handle technical and sales questions by email just as well as by phone.

Does SBT offer mechanical repair services?

SBT is a remanufacturing facility and parts seller, not a repair shop. SBT does not offer mechanical repair services, engine installation, crankshaft rebuilding, supercharger rebuilding, or any other hands-on repair work.

SBT's business is remanufacturing complete engines and selling PWC parts — not performing repairs on customer-supplied components or customer-owned watercraft. If a part is worn or failed, the typical solution is to replace it with a new or remanufactured unit from SBT's inventory rather than sending the old part in for repair.

For repair shops or dealers looking to buy parts at volume, SBT does offer a dealer program. See the dealer application at shopsbt.com/dealerap.html for eligibility requirements and documentation needed.

Are SBT parts OEM or aftermarket?

SBT parts are aftermarket, not OEM. They are designed and built to be OEM-equivalent or better in fit, form, and function.

SBT is an aftermarket manufacturer and remanufacturer — parts sold under the SBT brand are not sourced from the original equipment manufacturers (BRP/Sea-Doo, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Polaris, etc.). SBT engineers its parts to meet or exceed the original factory specifications, and remanufactured engines are assembled to OE tolerances.

For most replacement applications on stock machines, SBT aftermarket parts are a direct substitute for OEM components. Testing and quality vetting are performed in stock, unmodified environments, so performance on heavily modified watercraft cannot be guaranteed.

If a specific part is only available through the OEM dealer network, the product page will note that SBT does not carry it. In those cases, the OEM part number is sometimes listed for reference so customers can source it elsewhere.

Are SBT parts new or remanufactured?

SBT sells both remanufactured engines (core exchange required) and, for select models, all-new aftermarket engines and short blocks (no core required). Individual components such as pistons, rings, bearings, and seals are new SBT aftermarket parts.

Remanufactured engines are built around inspected OEM castings—cases, cylinders, and head—that came in as cores. Everything inside is replaced with new SBT aftermarket parts: pistons, rings, bearings, seals, and a trued-and-welded crankshaft. A rebuildable core must be sent to SBT when ordering a remanufactured engine.

For select models, SBT also offers all-new aftermarket engines and short blocks. These use brand-new castings and new internal components throughout—no core is required. The new 2-stroke short blocks, for example, ship fully assembled except for the head and head cover, which are sourced from the customer's original engine.

SBT remanufactured engines are available in Standard (1-year no-fault warranty) and Premium (2-year no-fault warranty) packages; both are built the same way. See the product page for the specific engine that fits your machine to confirm which options are available and current pricing.
